Motorcyclist Dies After Marlborough Crash

The man in his 60s died after crashing along Pleasant Street in mid-May.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a May crash in Marlborough has died, according to officials.

The motorcyclist, who was 61 and originally from Maine, was riding through Marlborough along Pleasant Street near Varley Road around 7:30 p.m. on May 15 when he drove off the roadway and struck a fire hydrant and utility pole.

He was transported to Marlborough Hospital, but was later flown to UMass-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Police said the biker suffered serious injuries to his lower and upper body as well as to his head.

The biker was one of 22 motorcyclists who have died in Massachusetts so far this in 2021, according to MassDOT data.
