New England Revolution Players Delight Kids During Santander's Soccer Celebration

Bank, Revolution, and The Esplanade Association joined forces for public event featuring Revs player meet & greet, games and skills demos to launch Soccer Scholars Program.
New England Revolution Star Forward Charlie Davies, Revs teammates Darrius Barnes, Gershon Koffie, and Matt Turner, and Santander’s Region President Michael Bruno and SVP of Brand Media & Sponsorships Jeff Greenler joined more than 300 local kids and soccer fans at Teddy Ebersol Field, on the Charles River Esplanade for a special soccer celebration in honor of Santander Bank, N.A.’s launch of the third annual Santander Soccer Scholars program. Soccer Scholars is a season-long sweepstakes that recognizes the outstanding academic achievements of New England students ages six to 17.

At the event, guests had the chance to participate in a soccer clinic led by Revs players and New England Revolution Academy coaches, pose for pictures and score autographs from their favorite Revolution stars, hone their soccer techniques, and play FIFA on Xbox with the New England Revolution Battalion.
Attendees also had the opportunity to enter Santander Soccer Scholars. For the season-long sweepstakes, adults can nominate New England students ages six through 17 for the chance to win $500 towards their education and an unforgettable VIP experience at a Revs home match in recognition of their hard work and dedication in school and on the field. As part of the VIP experience, each Soccer Scholar will receive four tickets to a designated Revolution home match where the student will have a pre-match photo taken with Revolution forward and Soccer Scholars spokesperson Charlie Davies, and the chance to stand on the sidelines and cheer on the Revolution as they take the field.

The grand prize Soccer Scholars winner will also receive the opportunity for Charlie Davies to visit his/her school. Entrants may also be selected as one of 126 daily prize winners. The program officially launched on June 13th, go here.
