Obituary: Anna Montagano D'Amico, 95, Owned Andee's Ceramics

Mrs. D'Amico owned and operated Andee's Ceramics, one of the first ceramic studios in the Marlborough area.

Anna M. (Montagano) D'Amico, 95, of Marlborough, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 at Marlborough Hospital. 
Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Pardo and Louise (Plate) Montagano and the wife of the late Frank J. D'Amico, who died in 1972. 
As a young woman Mrs. D'Amico moved from Brockton to Marlborough where she was employed in the shoe industry . 
For many years, she owned, operated and taught ceramics at Andee's Ceramics, one of the first ceramic studios in the area. She was also an avid quilter, crafter, and baker. She loved sharing her recipes, many of which included her favorite ingredient, apples, which earned her the nickname,"Apple Annie". Following her retirement she was employed part time in the Circulation Department at the Marlborough Enterprise and at June's Ceramics in Marlborough. In her later years she loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
