Police ID Marlborough Man Killed In I-90 Pedestrian Collision

Mustapha Faddi, 57, got out of his car early Saturday morning to check on a mechanical problem, police said.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Police have identified the Marlborough man killed early Saturday morning along the Mass Pike in Framingham.

Mustapha Faddi, 57, pulled over in the eastbound lanes around 6 a.m. Saturday to check on a mechanical problem. A driver from New Jersey in a tractor trailer hit Faddi and his car, police said.

Faddi died at the scene, police said. The incident was still under investigation Monday, and police did not immediately announce any criminal charges or infractions against the driver of the tractor trailer.

Faddi was the second pedestrian to die this month along the Mass Pike. A 33-year-old Hartford man was hit and killed late at night on Feb. 2. The man had also broken down, and was hit by a tractor trailer while getting out of his car, police said.
