Route 20 To Remain Closed For Water Main Repair: MassDOT
Both east and westbound traffic was being detoured a water main break in Marlborough on Thursday.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — Crews had dug up a section of Route 20 in Marlborough on Thursday to repair a broken water main. All traffic was being detoured off the Route 20 — which is East Main Street in that area — onto side streets, according to MassDOT.
The water main broke at around 3 a.m. Thursday, flooding an area just east of downtown near the busy Price Chopper shopping plaza.
The detour was taking drivers south through neighborhoods along Curtis and Peters avenues. Crews will be on scene until the work is done, but MassDOT did not immediately give an ETA.
