Santa Claus To Visit Marlborough With Help From Firefighters
With no in-person holiday events planned, Marlborough firefighters are planning a special treat with St. Nick.

MARLBOROUGH, MA —Unlike other holiday events, the coronavirus pandemic won't stop Santa Claus from visiting Marlborough residents this year.
The Marlborough Fire Department is planning to host a "Santa Run" on Dec. 19 and 20. On those days, firefighters will usher St. Nick around the city as a preview before the big day on Dec. 25.
Marlborough residents will be able to use the Glympse smartphone application to track Santa's whereabouts during the Santa Run. The fire department will also be releasing more details about the event soon on its Facebook page.

"It’s unfortunate that we can’t hold our annual tree lighting and winter concert, so we are offering families a 'glimpse' of Santa and a little holiday cheer," Mayor Arthur Vigeant said in a statement this week.
Marlborough is also hosting its annual holiday lights contest, where residents can nominate the best-decorated homes in the city for the chance to win a grand prize.
