Sartorius To Open Marlborough Facility, Hire Up To 100

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The biotech company Sartorius will move into a new facility in Marlborough, bringing about 100 jobs ranging from engineers to office staff, city officials announced on Thursday.

The company will open a 40,000 square-foot facility at 150 Lock Drive in an office park west of I-495 that has become a hub for biotech companies.

"We currently have over 40 companies in our life sciences community and look forward to seeing this area’s continued growth," Mayor Arthur Vigeant said in a news release.

Sartorius already has offices in Hopkinton, and the company's bioanalytics division is located in Cambridge. The Marlborough facility will focus on equipment testing and creating new bioprocessing equipment, according to city officials.
