Stabbing, Elder Attack, 50-Foot Fall In Marlborough In 3 Days
It's been a busy week for Marlborough officers, who responded to three serious incidents on Monday and Wednesday.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough police responded to three serious incidents this week, leading to three arrests after a stabbing, an assault on a senior citizen and a chase involving a 50-foot fall.
The first incident occurred Monday near 1:30 p.m. when police responded to an apartment complex along Redbud Way on a report of a break-in. A man who used to live at the complex entered an apartment, and fled when he saw police arrive.
The 41-year-old jumped off a balcony, plunging 50 feet and hitting another balcony on the way down. Police brought K9 dogs to the scene and arrested him in woods nearby on charges of assault and battery on an office, misdemeanor breaking-and-entering, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and trespass.

Three hours later, police responded to a home along Main Street after a report of a man attacking a 68-year-old woman. The man had tried to enter the woman's apartment pretending to be a maintenance worker, and then pushed the door into her face. The woman was also hit several times in the head with a cane.
Police located the attacker in the parking lot at 240 Main St. and arrested him on charges of home invasion, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over age 60 and assault and battery on a person over 60 with a disability.

Finally, near 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, police went to the Fish Restaurant along Bolton Street after a worker was stabbed during an apparent attempted break-in.
According to police, the worker was closing the restaurant when a former coworker approached him and hit him in the head with an object. The two then got into a scuffle, and the attacker stabbed the victim in the wrist. The 37-year-old was arrested on two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon and breaking and entering at night to commit a felony.
