Sweat Earns Marlborough Boys, Girls Club Renovation
A Boys and Girls Clubs of MetroWest team won an exercise challenge, resulting in a needed overhaul.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Boys and Girls Clubs of MetroWest clubhouse in Marlborough has benefited from a bit of sweat equity.
Locals across the region recently competed in the "Fit for a Cause" program, a six-week exercise challenge sponsored by the Boston Celtics and featuring a grand prize.
At the end of the six weeks, a team from Boston Scientific emerged victorious, and used its winnings for the Boys and Girls Clubs of MetroWest clubhouse, which local youth use to relax, learn and interact.

The renovation includes new furniture, technology items like tablets and an Xbox and new wall decorations, according to a BGCMW press release.
"The uninviting room has transformed into a place for teens to learn, grow, and play thanks to Boston Scientific and the Boston Celtics," BGCMW Director of Operations Steve Zepf said in a news release. "This investment proves that not only do our kids matter, but what they are able to do at the Club will help them in their future and will help our community in the future.”
