MARLBOROUGH, MA — Hard rock rippers Ex Hex took to Twitter on Tuesday to give a shout out to a local Marlborough band — the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School band, that is.

In a tweet on Tuesday afternoon, the band praised the Assabet musicians' cover of an Ex Hex song — apparently just one of several of the band's songs the Assabet rockers are practicing. Watch the performance here:

Ex Hex was founded by Washington, D.C., musician Mary Timony of the band Helium. She was also in the supergroup Wild Flag, which featured Carrie Brownstein (of "Portlandia") and Janet Weiss of Sleater-Kinney.
