Young Dad, Husband, Dies at 37 After Battle With Cancer

MARLBOROUGH, MA — This year, Fiona Kennedy sold the most calendar raffles for her Marlborough softball team, of which her dad was the assistant coach. It earned her some coveted Red Sox tickets. She worked to sell the calendars so she could take her dad to the game.

Unfortunately, she won't be able to do so.

Chad Kennedy died at age 37 on Thursday, May 5, after a battle with stage 4 stomach cancer. Kennedy leaves behind his wife Jenner and three small children.

Kennedy was diagnosed with advanced metastatic adenocarcinoma in the fall of 2014, when a crowdsourcing fundraiser (below) was set up to help he and his family out. More than $28,000 has been raised so far, and continues after his death - the funds to help his family.
