The 3rd Annual Music & Arts Festival to take over Oak Bluffs Saturday

The event’s mission statement reads, “A joyful celebration of music and arts and the way they nourish and cultivate a healthy, sustainable community.”
Festivities begin at 3pm at Veira Park in Oak Bluffs with live music, artisan vendors and an assortment of lawn games provided by Lazy Frog. There will also be kickball games, hula-hoops and face painting and a live community mural created over the course of the event with everyone encouraged to pick up a brush and join in.
Daytime musical acts to include Good Night Louise, Ballywho, Jellybone Rivers and the Maniacs of the Heart, Island Thunder Band, The WVVY DJs and Owl Boy - A Tim Laursen Creation.

Due to permit issues, there will be no food vendors at the event, so fest-goers should plan to bring a picnic. Tony's Market is also nearby and Smoke n’ Bones opens at 5 pm.
At 8 pm, the Extraordinary Rendition Band - a 20-piece brass marching band, accompanied by giant puppets, will lead a parade through the Arts District to Circuit Ave, down to the Flying Horses and into Dreamland where the night’s musical line up begins for those 18 and over. Scheduled to go on until 1 am, the night includes acts like Japanese Monster, Kahoots, Mercy Beat, The Stragglers, The Loogies, Dj Di, Deejay Supa Ricky Prime, Ganesha The Robotic Elephant, The Green Pastures Club and more soon to be announced.
