Boston Marathon: 7 Martha's Vineyard Runners

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — That bib number is more than just a number for those who run the Boston Marathon, which will be held April 17.

Many run in memory of a loved one, raising money for a cause that helps keep that person alive for them. Others sign up for the legendary race for health, a challenge for their mind, body and spirit. And others are professional runners who are in it to win it.

Whatever the reason, it's a challenge that is meaningful, and one that requires training all year that will help them make it the 26.2 miles of the historic Hopkinton to Boston route.

The 121st annual Boston Marathon is Monday, April 17. These are the Martha's Vineyard race entrants in alphabetical order starting with last name and including their ages:
