Coronavirus: Tisbury Delays Town Meetings Until May 30
The Tisbury annual town meeting and special town meeting have be postponed to May 30 at Tisbury School's auditorium.
TISBURY, MA — The Tisbury annual town meeting and special town meetings have been postponed a second time due to the coronavirus health emergency. The new date for the meetings is May 30 at 7 p.m. at the Tisbury School's gymnasium/auditorium.
The town meeting was originally recessed on March 31 and rescheduled for April 30.
The town said that the second postponement is in acknowledgement of the role that the town meeting plays in determining the budget and governance of the town, and to allow as many island residents as possible to attend when it does take place.
