Edgartown Shellfish Permits For Sale Friday

Shellfishing is one of the businsses that that will soon get back to work on the island.

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA —The resumption of shellfishing in Edgartown is one small sign of life getting back to something more resembling normal on the island.

Starting Friday, in-person purchases will be available at Edgartown Town Hall on Monday Street from 1 to 4 p.m. Sales will be made in the rear of the building and masks will be required.

All senior licenses from 2019 — both commercial and family — have been automatically extended for another year to April 1, 2021.
