EMT Stabbing Suspect May Be Tied To Vineyard Bomb Threat: Report
Police are investigating whether Julie Tejeda phoned in a bomb threat to Martha's Vineyard Airport this week, according to a report.
MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — Authorities are investigating whether a woman accused of attacking two EMTs in Boston is connected to a bomb threat at Martha's Vineyard Airport earlier this week, according to NBC Boston. Julie Tejeda, 31, of East Boston, faces charges of assault with intent to murder and other offenses in the attack, which left one EMT stabbed and another sprayed with a Mace-like chemical, authorities said.
Police are investigating whether Tejeda phoned in a bomb threat to the airport Tuesday morning, NBC reported. A woman with her same name and age is scheduled for a hearing in East Boston Municipal Court about the bomb threat July 26, according to the network.
The threat to the airport was called in around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. No flights went into or out of the island until it reopened around 9:30 a.m. The call was traced to a Massachusetts phone number, Assistant Airport Manager Geoffrey Freeman told NBC.
