Today the JC Trio plays the West Tisbury Library, the Charter School presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and of course, it's Patch Academy day!

Five Things You Need to Know Today is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance.
1. Voting closes this morning at 9 am in our Readers’ Choice Best of Patch Best Sandwich poll. Make sure to vote for your favorite place and tell your friends (and co-workers) to vote too. Then go to your favorite sandwich makers’ page in our Patch Places section and give them a review. Make sure to check back at noon when we announce the winner.
2. The people behind MV Patch will hold the site's first "Patch Academy" today at the upstairs conference room. We are inviting folks to stop by anytime during Patch Academy. We want to meet you, learn more about what you love about the Island and hear how MV Patch fits into your life. We will also be able to show readers how to upload photos and videos to our Patch sites, add events and comment on articles. 11 am to 12:30 pm.Â

3. There is a Washington Ledesma Art Show and Sale today at 5-R Murrant Avenue (first left off Sea Glen Road) in Oak Bluffs. Noon - 6 pm. Also on Saturday from 10 am - 5 pm. For more information, call 508-693-1823.
4. The fabulous JC Trio will be playing jazz favorites at the today. This event is free and open to the public. 4 pm.

5. The presents: A Midsummer Night's Dream tonight at the in West Tisbury. $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and $20 for families. 7 pm. Also Saturday at 2 pm and 7 pm. Â
