2. The annual Memorial Day Parade starts at the parking lot in Vineyard Haven today. Richard Christopher is the guest speaker, and Natalie Wood will sing the national anthem. 9:30 am.

3. The Tisbury Town Picnic takes place near off Spring Street and State Road. There will be games, music, rowboats and ice cream and grills will also be available. Stop by the exhibit of the environmental work of Tisbury Waterways, Inc. inside the renovated pumping station. Noon - 4 pm. For more information, call 508-696-4202.
4. Today at 3 pm, Americans nationwide will pause for a moment of silence for the National Moment of Remembrance, established by Congress to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to their country.
