Today is the Island Cup at MVRHS, the West Tisbury Farmers' Market will be at the Ag Hall and the MV Film Center's Family Friendly Flick this weekend is "Brooklyn Castle"

1. It’s Harmful Household Materials Collection day today at the Edgartown Transfer Station. A maximum of 15 gallons of oil base paint accepted. No latex paint. 9 am – noon
2. Today there are Saturday Ceramic Arts for children ages seven to twelve with Nancy Blank at Featherstone. $30. 10 am - noon. For more information, call 508-693-1850 or visit featherstoneart.org.
3. The West Tisbury Farmers’ Market takes place today at the Agricultural Hall. Lots of local produce, meats and goods will be on hand. 10 am – 1 pm

4. The 34th Island Cup football game between Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket will be played today at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School’s Dan McCarthy Memorial Field. 1 pm.
5. The Martha's Vineyard Film Center Family Friendly movie this weekend is Brooklyn Castle - the remarkable and improbable true story of I.S. 318 in Brooklyn. The school, where 65% of students live below the federal poverty level, has the highest ranked junior high chess team in the nation. $10/$7 MV Film Society Members. 4 pm.
