Five Things You Need to Know Today: November 2

Today there is a Community Ham & Bean Supper at the Parish House, Shakespeare for the Masses at Katharine Cornell and the OB School 8th Grade Auction takes over Dreamland

1. This afternoon at the Farm Institute, take part in Farmers in Training for ages ten and up. Work with oxen, build farm structures, help with chores and work in the garden 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm.

2. There is an Opening Reception for The Art of the Hunt: Martha's Vineyard Decoys this evening at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum. 5 pm - 7 pm. For more information, call 508-627-4441, extension 123.

3. Tonight at the Parish House in Vineyard Haven, there is a Community Ham and Bean Supper including baked ham, baked beans, cole slaw, delmonico potatoes, rolls, dessert and beverage. 5 pm - 7 pm.

4. Tonight, the Vineyard Playhouse presents Shakespeare for the Masses - King John at the Katharine Cornell Theater, with Christopher Brophy in the title role. Free. 7 pm.

5. The OB School 8th Grade Auction happens tonight at Dreamland in Oak Bluffs to benefit the 8th grade trip to Philadelphia. There will be a Silent & Live Auction, a Lottery Ticket Tree, Door Prizes and a light harvest supper provided by The Chowder Company including a Chowder Bar, salad and appetizers. $30 Tickets available at the door. 6 pm – 8 pm.
