Five Things You Need to Know Today: October 21

1. Today is the last day of  A GALLERY in the ol Coke Bottling Plant. After today, the A Gallery will be packing up as the building is prepared for demolition. Many artists are offering 10-25% off selected works as a thanks and farewell for now until another great location is found. Drop by for Hot Cider and cookies. 9:30- 6 pm.

2. Today is Middletown Nursery Family Fun Day at Middletown Nursery in West Tisbury. Carve a pumpkin, have your face painted or take a pony ride. They will also have donuts, popcorn and cider. Pumpkins are available for purchase. Also, check out the big end of the year sale. 11 am.

3. There is a Plein Art Artist Session today at the Vineyard Haven Property MV Museum, 151 Lagoon Pond Rd. The finished works will be displayed, read, and played as part of the Museum’s Spotlight Gallery in January 2013. The general public is invited to come observe and interact with the artists as they work each weekend.

4. The Martha's Vineyard Film Society presents a screening of as part of the family film weekends series. $10/$7 for MV Film Society and MV Horse Councilmembers. 4 pm.

5. Tonight at the P.A Club in Oak Bluffs there is Ballroom Dancing. Beginners dance at 6:15 pm with Tom. Rhumba lesson with Jack and Carol is from 7 - 7:30 p.m.
