Five Things You Need to Know Today: September 6

Today is the first day of school, the first day of the MV International Film Festival and Phil DaRosa and Rob Myers play the Pit Stop

1. Today is the first day of the 2012 – 2013 school year at all Martha’s Vineyard Schools. Please take it slow out there and remember to stop for busses as they pick up and drop off kids. Have a great first day!

2. It’s tonight at . Learn about the scouting program on the Island, meet folks and eat pizza,  A portion of all pizza ordered in or taken out goes to scouting. 5 pm – 9 pm.

3. This evening at the , Chief Curator Bonnie Stacy will explore . Find out how the Museum takes care of its art and learn how you can protect your precious collections at home. Reception to follow. $8 for Members/$12 for non-Members. 5:30 pm. For more information, call 508-627-4441.
