Flag Football Season Has Begun

MV Boys & Girls Club held annual Flag Football League Pre-Season Skills Challenge on Saturday

Fifty players participated in the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club Flag Football League Pre-Season Skills Challenge on Saturday. The annual Skills Challenge, consisting of three events: the Obstacle Course, 40 Yard Dash and Passing Accuracy, has become a great way to get the kids running around and excited about the season.

Flag Football is a six-on-six, non-contact sport for kids in grades 3-6. There are six teams in the league, each with a roster of up to 12 players. Games are played on Saturday mornings at 8, 9 and 10 am at Nunes Field in Edgartown, with each team having one weekday practice.

All players will be back on the field on Saturday, September 29th from 9 am - 11 am for the Pre-Season Training Camp. Registration will remain open until all 72-roster spots are filled at www.mvbgclub.org or at the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club.
