Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Homes has announced the death Dec. 28 of Howard I. Wall, 63, of Martha's Vineyard.
"Landscaper, caretaker, bagpiper, pizza maker, husband, father, brother and friend: Howard Ivison Wall enjoyed his work while adding wit and humor at every opportunity. His attitude remained upbeat and positive through a 7-year journey with ocular melanoma," according to his preliminary obituary, which adds:
"We will remember his favorite phrase, 'Keep smiling and have a great day.'"
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced and a full obituary is pending, according to Chapman, Cole & Gleason.
