Governor Charlie Baker Cuts Price Cap On Wind Projects
New Ocean Wind Turbine Bids Due Today 8/23 --There has never been an ocean wind turbine project in the world that lowered electric rates.

Vineyard Wind’s wholesale energy price last year was around 6.5 cents per kilowatt-hour. Governor Charlie Baker and the Legislature are concerned, new bidders will shy away from trying to compete at that price.
Baker and the Legislature agreed to amend the fiscal year 2020 state budget to eliminate the price cap until 2021 and then no one knows if and when the price cap will be re-established.
The supposed purpose of the cut is to get more bidders but ultimately your electric bill will become a second mortgage on your homes.
