Hip Hop Legend Slick Rick Comes to Dreamland

You cannot call yourself a hip-hop fan if you don’t know the lyrics to a Slick Rick song. Ground-breaking songs like "La Di Da Di" and "Children's Story,” changed hip-hop music forever and launched Slick Rick into legendary status as hip-hop’s best story teller.

This Wednesday, follows up their extremely successful opening week by bringing Slick Rick to Martha’s Vineyard for the very first time. Born Richard Walters in 1965, this British-American rapper has been nominated for a Grammy, is quoted and sampled by nearly every successful hip-hop artist and was ranked #15 on Source Magazine’s Top 50 Lyricists of All Time.

Martha’s Vineyard has seen its share of legendary performers, and Slick Rick’s appearance is sure to be one of those that is remembered and discussed for years to come. The show takes place this Wednesday, July 18^th.  Doors will open at 9pm with local DJ Ricky Prime. Advance ticket purchase will be available at ticketsmv.com/dreamland.

Advance tickets are $30 and Day of Show will be $40.  VIP package is $100 which includes Priority Entrance, VIP Room access, 2 drink tickets, Chowder Co. buffet from 9p-10p, Private cash wine/beer/champagne bar and a Meet & Greet with Slick Rick for 15 minutes after the show.
