Last Chance: Apply for Farm Institute Pilot Parcels Program and More Deadlines for the Week

Last chance to be a part of the First Open Mic Night at the Pit Stop and to be a volunteer guide at the Gay Head Lighthouse

Okay, so we know MV Patch is pretty hip to most of the events happening on the Island and we try to keep Islanders informed. But try as we might, every once in a while, it happens that you let one pass you by that you wish you hadn't. So, in an effort to make sure that doesn’t happen, each week we will post a quick reminder about events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines are approaching.

Tonight is the first-ever Open Mic Night at the. While this event will be ongoing, you only have a few hours to practice for tonight and be a part of this moment in history. In the words of the venerable Dan Waters, “you never get a second chance to make first impression!”

For you farmers (and even you want-to-be farmers) out there, the at the is accepting applications until Wednesday, March 21, 2012. The purpose of Pilot Parcels is to expand ideas about crops that can be grown and marketed successfully on the Island and to share these ideas with other farmers and people interested in developing value-added products.
