Last Chance: Help Hungry Island Families This Easter

The Family To Family Program of Serving Hands will be distributing their spring/Easter food baskets this week

This year the Family to Family Program of Serving Hands Food Distribution is working to ensure that our Island families who are in need will have a great Easter/Spring meal. They are asking for contributions of $25, the cost of one family’s meal.

At their Thanksgiving distribution they were able to provide 189 meals and they hope to do the same for Easter. The weather has been warmer and spring is on the way. But, for most families that depend on Serving Hands and Family to Family, nothing changes. Most are on a fixed income and Easter is the most important holiday for those of the Christian faith.

If the Family to Family Program isare able to raise enough money to continue the tradition, their spring basket will include: A ham, 5 lbs. potatoes, 2 lbs. onions, 1lb carrots, 4 lbs. apples, 4 lbs. oranges, fresh sweet potatoes, and a dozen eggs. Family to Family will distribute these wonderful, complete meals in time for Easter.

You can make checks out to Vineyard Committee on Hunger, indicate it is for the Family to Family Program then send it to:
