Porn Left Martha's Vineyard Home In 'Deplorable' State: Lawsuit

A Martha's Vineyard woman said a porn shot at her Aquinnah vacation home caused more than $15,000 worth of damage.

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — A Martha's Vineyard woman this week sued a Canadian-based production company that she claimed shot porn videos at her vacation home and caused $15,000 worth of damage. Homeowner Leah Basset, of Aquinnah, filed the lawsuit Monday in federal court in Boston. The Blast, which covers entertainment news, first reported the lawsuit.

Basset claimed representatives of Mile High Media, which is based in Montreal, rented her Aquinnah home in October 2014 but never said they planned to shoot porn. The crew left the home in "deplorable condition," soiling sheets, breaking a couch and leaving garbage "everywhere," according to the lawsuit.

Basset claimed she only learned of the porn videos after finding them on the internet.

"(The videos) included numerous clothed, nude, semi-nude, and/or graphic sex scene(s) ... that depicted Ms. Bassett's home, and its distinctive furnishings and artwork, in the background and foreground," the lawsuit reads.

It adds, "As a woman with strong family values and strong feminist leanings, (Basset) has very negatives views towards the so-called porn industry ... She would never have consented to her home being utilized for the commercial production of porn."

Basset claimed she and her father spent four years building the home and now worries she will have a harder time renting it out due to its new reputation as a location for porn videos.

A lawyer representing the porn company told the Boston Herald Basset's allegations are "unfounded."
