MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — A man is in custody after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman on the Steamship Authority ferry from Martha's Vineyard to Woods Hole Monday afternoon, said Massachusetts State Police in a news release.

State and Falmouth Police responded to the Steamship Authority in Falmouth just after 5 p.m. for the reported sexual assault and identified the suspect as Bruno Sanches DeJesus, 20, of Dorchester.

Investigators say DeJesus left the dock as a passenger in a commercial box truck. A description of the truck was broadcast and a trooper later located and stopped the vehicle on Route 28 north in Falmouth.
