Martha's Vineyard High School Ranked Among Top 75 In Massachusetts

Education seems to be as hot a topic as ever in America, and for good reason. It shapes the future of our children and influences the prices of homes in neighborhoods. With the recent confirmation of Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, everyone seems to have an opinion.

The list of best public high schools was compiled by Niche based on criteria such as academics and student outcomes. Middlesex County schools claim seven of the top 10 spots in Massachusetts, with Norfolk grabbing two and Suffolk claiming one.

Martha's Vineyard Regional High School was ranked No. 51.

There's a pretty clear trend at the top: The best schools are listed primarily where the money is. Lexington, Cambridge, Newton North, Wellesley, Acton-Boxborough, Brookline, Newton South, Boston Latin, Weston and Wayland make up the top 10.

Niche, a website for researching schools, used a variety of factors, including SAT/ACT scores, student-teacher ratio, the quality of colleges students consider and reviews from students and parents for its ranking.
