Martha's Vineyard Reports 31 New Cases Over The Weekend
Island health officials reported 31 new confirmed cases and three new probable cases on Monday.

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — The Martha's Vineyard Boards of Health reported 31 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, with 20 Saturday, four on Sunday, and seven on Monday.
Out of the 31 new cases, 15 were tested at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital, which tests symptomatic individuals, 13 were tested at TestMV, which tests asymptomatic individuals, and three were tested by other providers, according to the Island boards of health.
Including the cases reported on Monday, Martha's Vineyard has experienced a total of 662 confirmed cases and 44 probable cases, according to information released by the Island boards of health, and the majority of the cases have been individuals between the age of 30 and 39.

As of Monday afternoon, there are currently 80 pending tests and one COVID-19 patient at Martha's Vineyard Hospital.
Oak Bluffs and Tisbury are currently in the COVID-19 “red zone", or highest risk of virus transmission, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Oak Bluffs has reported a total of 132 cases, with 26 reported in the two weeks before Jan. 7, and Tisbury has reported a total of 183 cases, also with 26 reported in the two weeks before Jan. 7.

The number of COVID-19 cases being reported statewide remains high, with 4,239 new confirmed cases and 54 deaths among confirmed cases reported on Monday.
