MV Sharks Lose First Two Home Games
U.S. Military All Stars and Nashua Silver Knights beat the MV Sharks in this weekend's home games

This weekend, the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks suffered two losses as they opened the 2012 home season at Vineyard Baseball Park in Oak Bluffs. On Saturday, the Sharks lost 8-4 to last year's Futures Collegiate Baseball League champs, the Nashua Silver Knights. On Sunday, they lost 5-4 to the U.S. Military All Stars.
According to the Martha’s Vineyard Times, “Ryan Brockett of St. Mary's College got the start for the Sharks and pitched four innings, giving up four earned runs on seven hits, with three strike outs and two walks.”
On Sunday, after from Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, Ryan Fisher pitched an inning for the Sharks. General Manager, CFO and Owner Jerry Murphy credited Fisher and said, “Ryan did a really good job.”
