Oak Bluffs Hardest-Hit by Blizzard Monday

OAK BLUFFS, MA — Monday’s blizzard dumped nearly a foot of snow on Martha’s Vineyard, causing coastal flooding concerns Tuesday morning.

Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard received the most snow Monday with 9.8 inches. Despite the heavy snow, there were few power outages.

These are snowfall estimates from the National Weather Service late Monday night:

• Oak Bluffs, 9.8 inches
• Falmouth, 9
• Barnstable, 9
• Plymouth, 8

The heavy snow could create coastal flooding concerns Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
