Oak Bluffs Names Deputy Fire Chief

Manny Rose has been named the town's permanent deputy fire chief.

OAK BLUFFS, MA — After serving as six years as the assistant fire chief of Oak Bluffs, Manuel "Manny" Rose was appointed to the permanent position of deputy fire chief.

Rose has served in the fire department and emergency medical service department for 27 years.

"His passion and hard work have not gone unnoticed," Oak Bluffs Fire-EMS said on their official social media page. "We are forever grateful for his invaluable dedication to public safety."

Rose's department had a busy day on Tuesday when it responded to a van fire on Dukes County Avenue about 2:55 p.m. There were no injuries in the fire.
