Oak Bluffs Police: Martha's Vineyard 'Gunshots' Were Fireworks
Oak Bluffs police said they determined that a report of "gunshots" early Wednesday morning were actually fireworks.

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — Oak Bluffs police said they determined on Wednesday that reports of gunshots heard early Wednesday morning were, in fact, fireworks. Oak Bluffs police said the determination was made through use of surveillance video.
Oak Bluffs police said they responded to the area of Alpine Avenue, Grovedale Road and Manchester Avenue and Barnes Road for a report of gunshot about 2 a.m. and revealed the results of their investigation about 12 hours later.
"We were able to confirm today from surveillance video in the area that those sounds heard were fireworks," Oak Bluffs police said.
