Obama Daughter Takes Summer Job on Martha's Vineyard

OAK BLUFFS, MA — It's an average summer job for your not-so-average teenager.

First Daughter Sasha Obama is currently working at Nancy's Restaurant & Snack Bar, a Martha's Vineyard seafood restaurant in Oak Bluffs, according to the Boston Herald. She's reportedly manning the takeout window, with several Secret Service agents keeping guard.

She's working at the restaurant ahead of her family's annual summer vacation on the island. The rest of the Obamas are expected to arrive on Cape Cod Saturday and vacation on Martha's Vineyard through Aug. 21. The Obamas have vacationed on the island each year of his presidency except 2012 when he ran for reelection. This is his last summer vacation on the island of his presidency.

The president fancies Nancy's—he's eaten at the restaurant several times and has a soft spot for fried shrimp and onion rings. Nancy's is a Martha's Vineyard institution, first opening in 1960.

August is a busy month on Cape Cod, politically speaking. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be in Barnstable Saturday for a fundraiser, while Hillary Clinton will attend a pair of Cape Cod fundraisers later in the month.
