Outdoor Dining Expanded In Edgartown

A stretch of Main Street will be one way to allow for more seating on public ways.

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — A portion of Main Street in Edgartown will be one way for at least the start of the summer after the Edgartown Board of Selectmen voted to allow expanded outdoor dining in the town.

The ordinance allows restaurants to expand dining into some public ways with some of the road reconfigured to allow for pedestrian access.

The last block of Main Street will now be one way.

Edgartown officials ask residents and tourists to wear their face coverings downtown in areas where crowds of people come together this summer and social distancing cannot be guaranteed.
