Photo Gallery: The Sense of Wonder Creations Spring Art Show
This past weekend Sense of Wonder art students showed their work, raised money for UNICEF and celebrated spring
The art students have been working very hard this year. Since October, children aged four to 14 have been improving their drawing and painting skills. They have experimented with watercolor, tempera, pastels and acrylics; created all shapes and sizes of pots and sculptures made from clay and other materials. They’ve made Papier Mache' creatures, see-through sculptures from saran wrap and packing tape, plaster relief paintings, collages, dioramas and more
This past weekend, documented the Sense of Wonder Creations Spring Art Show. Students sold some of their art work, but instead of the gallery taking half and the artist taking half, half of the proceeds of the sale went to UNICEF and half to the artist.
It was a party in true Sense of Wonder style. Admission was free with a donation to UNICEF and featured the band, “Beantown Willy and Two Step.” There was pizza, ice cream, games, cool art projects, a mural, puppet making, group drumming, face painting, baby farm animals and lots more.
