Primary Elections Take Place Today
Voting opens at 7 am in all Island towns for the first primary election in the newly created ninth congressional district
Today, for the first time since the ninth congressional district was created last fall as a result of redistricting, Islanders will go to the polls for the primary election. Polls will be open from 7 am - 8 pm in all six Island towns.
On the democrat side, Congressman William Keating, the incumbent, is facing C. Samuel Sutter, a Bristol County district attorney. On the republican side, Christopher Sheldon from Plymouth faces Adam G. Chaprales from Sandwich.
Here are the voting locations for Island towns. All polls are open from 7 am – 8 pm
