Slip77, the Oak Bluffs based clothing line and brick and mortar retailer, announces plans to reopen for their 3rd season in the Oak Bluffs storefront offering big sales to hopeful shoppers. With two successful seasons under their belts, the storeowners will be offering 50-75% off last season’s summer apparel, and will give customers a preview of the new gear in stock for the upcoming season.
Slip77 has also brought on board Hali Mechur as their new Retail Operations and Visual Merchandising Manager. Hali brings a wealth of retail operations experience and island-specific knowledge to the growing brand.
Of the upcoming season, store owner Christina Izzo says, “We’ve been so grateful for the support and growth we’ve received over the past 2 seasons, especially from island locals. We work hard to bring high-quality apparel, locally made goods, and unique merchandise to residents and tourists. There is a lot more to the island lifestyle than the preppy styles that people tend to associate with it, and our goal is to capture the side of the island living that is more cool, casual and comfortable, and to deliver on each of those objectives.” Jessica adds, “Adding Hali to the team will give us the opportunity to generate more awareness of the store, focus on improving the customer experience in the store and to develop our website, www.slip77.com. We’re really excited at this next stage of growth and adding Hali to the team.”
Slip77 launched an online shop over the winter, and has steadily added to their product offerings over the past two years in business. The company offers a variety of comfortable, casual island inspired apparel with interesting interpretations of common island themes (such as their popular “7-Mile Club” t-shirts). The brand’s online promotion “GET SPOTTED” has evolved from loyal friends and fans sending pictures in wearing the clothing, to a full blown promotional program across varying social networks including Facebook and Instagram.
