A 1980s Edgartown rental home changed hands last month for $2,220,000, according to the Dukes County land registry.
Located at the corner of Pease's Point Way directly across from the Edgartown Tennis Club, 55 Cottage St. has four bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,458 square feet of living space on an 8,712-square-foot lot.
The new owner, Cottage Street Partners LLC of Manhasset, NY, paid an additional $44,400 fee to the Martha's Vineyard Land Bank and $10,123 in state excise tax.
The home was listed for rent at $6,500 a month, which is less than some summer tenants pay to stay in other homes in this desirable neighborhood near town beaches.
