Sonika Vaid's American Idol Run Ends: Singer, 20, Hails from Martha's Vineyard
American Idol hopeful Sonika Vaid, of Martha's Vineyard, was cut after making the top five Thursday night.

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — Sonika Vaid, the pride of Martha's Vineyard, on Thursday night saw her American Idol quest come to an end.
Vaid, 20, was one of five singers left heading into Thursday's live show. She was cut halfway through.
Heading into the show, Vaid said she was simply thankful to have made it so far.

"If you had told me I'd be here last year, I wouldn't have believed you," she tweeted.
The final four includes MacKenzie Bourg, Trent Harmon, Dalton Rapattoni, and La’Porsha Renae.
