MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — For the second time in two weeks the Steamship Authority is adding round trips from Wood Hole to Martha's Vineyard due to demand.

The Authority had been operating on a reduced schedule due to the coronavirus and a strict stay-at-home order on the island. But as restrictions have eased slightly ahead of the expected end of the state's stay-at-home order on May 18, demand for trips to and from the island has increased.

The Authority expanded the weekend round trips from seven to 11 daily as of May 7.
