The 2nd Annual White Party Takes Off on Saturday Night
Lexie Roth and Chouette Fete bring back the all white attire dance party booze cruise for a second year
Hailed as the best party of the summer last year, the White Party is back again for another booze cruise, brought to you care of recording artist and Chouette Fete.
Roth had the idea for last year’s party after hearing about a reunion party that took place on the . “I thought, that’s genius, the boat just sits there all night, why not throw a party on it?”
While there are many events across the Island every summer to raise money for a whole host of great causes, this event is purely about a party. “It’s totally for the benefit of having a good time,” said Roth. “Dancing is necessary. It’s truly when I feel the best. That’s why I’m taking it upon myself to throw this again.”

Roth also sees this as a way to give her friends a great time. “Everyone wants the chance to be on a boat, but most of the people who live here aren’t lucky enough to have boating lifestyle. We live on Martha’s Vineyard, people should be able to let loose on a boat.”
While Roth is slated to perform twice this summer on the Island, she won’t be performing on the boat. Instead there will be three DJs: Durkin from Boston; Thando 1988 from NYC; and Matt Kurth from Martha’s Vineyard.

The boat begins loading on the dock in Oak Bluffs at 6:30 pm and takes off at 7 pm sharp. “It leaves exactly at 7,” said Roth. “Last year we had people running down the dock trying to make the boat and they didn’t make it. So be on time!” The boat then begins its slow roll all the way up to Aquinnah and returns to the dock at 11 pm. “We extended the trip by an hour this year for the same price,” Roth said.
It is a 21 and over event and there is a cash bar. Guests are asked to dress all in white. “Last year everyone really meant it,” said Roth, “they were wearing white from head to toe and it was quite a sight.” While a few snacks will be served, Roth advises guests to bring along a dinner to enjoy. “Bring a picnic and bring a sweetheart. Or," she said, "you can always meet someone new.”
The 2nd Annual White Party Dance Cruise takes place on July 28th. Tickets are $40 and are available at Alleys, at the Sea Streak ticket office in the SSA, Aboveground Records and On the Cliffs in Aquinnah. 21+ event.
