Tisbury Guidelines For Outdoor Annual Town Meeting

Tisbury's annual town meeting is set to be held under a tent on the ballfield at the Tisbury School on West William Street on Saturday.

TISBURY, MA — Town meeting is heading under the big top in Tisbury this year due to the coronavirus health emergency.

Tisbury released health and safety suggestions for the annual town meeting set for Saturday at the Tisbury School on West William Street. The meeting will be held under a tent on the ballfield near Spring Street and is set to run from 1 to 4 p.m.

Town officials said public health and safety officials have reviewed the plans for safety this week.

All staff and attendees should be wearing masks and remain at least 6 feet away from each other whenever possible. There will be voter check-in tables with staff behind clear shields. Aisles will be one direction with all seats 6 feet away from each other.

There will be overflowing seating outside the tent as needed.

Town meeting voters are asked to arrive by 12:30 to allow for registration and the meeting to start on time. Those attending should bring water and light snacks since there will be not refreshments available on site.

All attendees must bring their own masks and hand sanitizer.
