What happened last night at town meetings in Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, Tisbury and West Tisbury

EDGARTOWN
- $4.9 million in funding for a new town library was approved
- $28.3 million operating budget was approved
- $272,000 for a Massachusetts Estuaries Project study for Poucha Pond, Cape Pogue Pond, Katama Bay and Oyster Pond was approved
- $85,000 for an emergency command center and firearms simulator at the police station was approved
- A proposal allowing the selectmen to sell the Captain Warren House was approved
- Amending the town zoning bylaws to allow substandard lots to be used for affordable housing was defeated
- Allowing mobile concession stands at South Beach was defeated
OAK BLUFFS
- $24.1 million operating budget was approved
- $233,953 in Community Preservation Act funds for various preservation projects and rental assistance for Dukes County Regional Housing Authority was approved
- Raising fees on town bylaws for infractions such as skateboarding and throwing Frisbees on Circuit Avenue was approved
- Allowing restaurants to stay open until 1 am was approved
- Moving forward with the project to put in a roundabout at the intersection of Vineyard Haven Edgartown Road and Barnes Road was approved
TISBURY

- $20.8 million town operating budget was approved
- $40,000 space needs study for the Tisbury School was approved
- $160,000 to purchase the trailers was approved
- $3 million to build a connector road that ran through town owned property from Vineyard Haven Edgartown Road to State road was defeated
WEST TISBURY
- $14.38 million town operating budget was approved
- $1.5 million for the renovation and expansion of the West Tisbury Free Public Library was approved
- $85,000 for developing construction plans for a new police station at the public safety building was approved
- A solar project at the town landfill by the Cape and Vineyard Electric Cooperative was approved
- Dredging of the Mill Pond, as long as any dredging project came back to town meeting for a final vote, was approved
- The Stretch Code, which requires higher energy efficiency in all new buildings and major renovations was approved
- $2.373 million for repair of a number of town roads was approved
- Reversing the ban of dogs on Lambert's Cove Beach before 10 am during the summer months was approved
- Reversing the ban of dogs on Lambert’s Cove Beach after 6:30 pm during the summer months was denied
- Allowing selectmen to issue one-day licenses for the sale of beer and wine at fundraisers was approved
