Two Martha's Vineyard Communities Considered High-Risk
Edgartown and Tisbury have both been designated red zones in the latest data from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA—Edgartown and Tisbury have both been designated as high-risk communities due to an increase in coronavirus cases over the last few weeks.
Both towns are now "red zones", which means that they have more than 25 total cases in a population of less than 10,000 people.
Thursday's statistics from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health reveal that there have been 55 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Edgartown, with 31 reported in the two weeks before November 19. Edgartown currently has an average daily incidence rate of 54.2 and a positivity rate of 4.69%.

Tisbury has reported 77 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, with 49 cases reported in the two weeks before November 19. Tisbury currently has an average daily incidence rate of 83.9 and a positivity rate of 5.28%.
Dukes and Nantucket Counties have reported 465 positive COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, with 180 reported in the two weeks leading up to Thursday. The counties have an average daily incidence rate of 44.6 and a positivity rate of 4.49%.
