Vineyard Hits Highest Single-Day Number Of Coronavirus Cases
Island health officials reported 25 new confirmed cases and five symptomatically diagnosed patients on Wednesday.

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — The Martha's Vineyard Boards of Health reported 25 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, the highest single-day number since the beginning of the pandemic.
Out of the 25 new cases, 18 were tested at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital, which tests symptomatic individuals, six were tested at TestMV, which tests asymptomatic individuals, and one was tested by an off-Island provider, according to the Island boards of health.
Including the cases reported on Thursday, Martha's Vineyard has experienced a total of 602 confirmed cases and 46 probable cases, according to information released by the Island boards of health, and the majority of the cases have been individuals between the age of 30 and 39.

As of Wednesday afternoon, there are currently 28 pending tests and one COVID-19 patient at Martha's Vineyard Hospital.
The number of COVID-19 cases being reported statewide remains high, with 6,419 new confirmed cases and 99 deaths among confirmed cases reported on Wednesday.
