Visions for Vacancies on Martha's Vineyard: Oyster Bar

Our new Visions for Vacancies feature starts this week on MVPatch. Here you’ll find a place where you can weigh in with your ideas about what kind of businesses you’d like to see occupying empty storefronts around town.

Each week, we’ll highlight a vacant building, storefront or structure around town. And we’ll leave it to the Island community to sound off on what you’d like to see there.

This week we focus on a vacancy that is a sad story for many of us. There are few who have not had times...good times or bad, at the former Oyster Bar/Balance/Oyster Bar.

There have been many rumors as to what is coming next for this vacancy, but if you could have this space be anything you wished, what would it be? Don't worry about zoning restrictions - this is purely an exercise of the Island's imagination. Would you have it go back to being the Oyster Bar, the old or the new? Or do you long for the original Balance? Or would you have it be something totally different?

I'm thinking Dim Sum, what are you thinking?
